في بلدين من أصل 17 بلد، مالت النسبة المئوية للنساء اللواتي يشغلن مناصب تحريرية عليا لصالح المرأة. وفي الفلبين، شغلت النساء 78% من مناصب رئيسات التحرير، تلتها زامبيا حيث شغلت النساء 57%من المناصب التحريرية العليا.

في 5 بلدان من بين 17 بلداً، بلغ عدد النساء اللواتي يشغلن المنصب المؤسسي الأعلى صفراً: الصومال ورواندا وكينيا وفلسطين والأردن.

في الصومال، لم تشغل أي امرأة أعلى منصب تحريري بدءاً بعام 2022، وتلتها مصر، حيث شغلت النساء 9% فقط من المناصب التحريرية العليا.

تؤكد البيانات نتائج دراسة أصدرها معهد رويترز لمتابعة النساء في المناصب التحريرية العليا في أهم المنافذ الإخبارية المتصلة الإنترنت وغير المتصلة بالإنترنت في 12 دولة (تطابقت أبحاث النساء في الأخبار مع أبحاث رويترز في سوق واحدة). وعند جمع هذه النتائج نجد أن النساء يشغلن 26% فقط من المناصب التحريرية العليا في 28 بلداً شملها الاستطلاع.

Evidence reinforces research released by Reuters Institute that tracks women in top editorial positions in major online and offline news outlets in 12 countries (WIN's research overlapped with Reuters' in only one market). When these results are combined with our editorial only results, we find that women take up only 26% of top editorial positions in the 28 countries.
