WIN response during COVID-19

As COVID-19 spreads, media are under increased pressure to provide accurate, credible and timely information. This comes alongside the practical challenges of maintaining regular operations in the face of extraordinary circumstances.

We, at WAN-IFRA Women in News, are also adjusting to the rapidly changing circumstances – starting with our first virtual National Gathering in Rwanda last week. Following CDC and WHO guidelines, we are adhering to strict physical and social distancing by moving in-person programmes online in the interim period.

We are pleased to share that our Leadership Accelerator and Advisory services will continue to be available to members of the WIN community. We are also looking to add new online training modules for our community as we all respond and adapt to the new realities on the ground.

Consistent with WAN-IFRA’s overall commitment to supporting media in emerging and transitioning markets, we will continue to provide you with the most up to date information and best-practices to help navigate this difficult time.

If there is anything we can do to help you and your organisation, please reach out to us at info@womeninnews.org.
