WAN-IFRA’s Women In News (WIN) programme is made possible by the generous funding of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). Sida is the founding donor of WIN and generously supports several other of WAN-IFRA’s international media development initiatives. For more information on Sida and their mandates visit their website.
WIN South Africa is proudly partnered with The South African National Editors’ Forum (Sanef). Sanef is a non-profit organisation whose members are editors, senior journalists and journalism trainers from all areas of the South African media. We are committed to championing South Africa’s hard-won freedom of expression and promoting quality, ethics and diversity in the South African media.
WIN South Africa is also proudly partnered with Print & Digital Media South Africa (PDMSA). PDMSA is a non-profit, voluntary association that was originally formed to bring together under one roof publishers of diverse print genres. In a fast-changing media landscape, the print media recognised the advantages of extending its footprint online. To reflect this, we extended our membership to include digital media publications and changed our name accordingly. Currently the PDMSA membership includes more than 700 newspaper and magazine titles that cater for four different language groups.
